Ashley Brockus, LCMFT, SEP
(Ashley has a full waiting list)
I grew up in the Wichita area and attended Missouri State University, where I earned a degree in Religious Studies in 2005. It was there that I discovered my love for getting to know people and their stories, and I wanted to continue experiencing that throughout my life. I pursued a Masters in Biblical Counseling at a seminary in Texas in 2005, but transferred to Friends University's Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy program in 2006 to be closer to my fiancé, now husband. We got married in 2007 and worked at a local church with youth, while I also started seeing clients at HopeNet as a therapist. After a few years in private practice, I decided to return to the nonprofit world and worked at Legacy Ministries for seven years in various roles.
As I began having children, I became focused on healing through motherhood and saw the perinatal period as a sacred opportunity for growth, where I could facilitate healing two generations at the same time. This led me to delve into attachment healing, intergenerational trauma (epigenetics), EMDR training, and somatic experiencing as both a client and provider. One of my biggest passions in life is learning to be a mother to my three children. In 2017, my husband and I were introduced to psychedelic assisted therapy through podcasts, which transformed our lives, our marriage, and our professional careers. My husband pursued his MFT degree and joined me in practice, and we have continued to learn various modalities, including Internal Family Systems, Psychedelic Somatic Institute, EMDR, MAPS for MDMA, the KTC, and certified in Somatic Experience (SEP). I have been working with Prairie Health and Wellness since 2018, and I am honored to be on site with their team of skilled providers and healing professionals.
