Hannah Macias, RN
I grew up in the Wichita area and began my journey in healthcare a few years after high school, working as a phlebotomist at Prairie Health and Wellness. During my time there, I was introduced to the functional medicine model—addressing the root causes of illness rather than offering temporary fixes. This philosophy deeply resonated with me and inspired me to pursue a career in nursing. Before I could begin nursing school, my husband was diagnosed with cancer. I paused my education to become his full-time caregiver, an experience that profoundly shaped my understanding of compassion, health and trauma. After his passing in 2020, I navigated immense grief and eventually returned to school, earning my RN from Butler Community College in 2022.
During that time, I faced my own struggle with intense depression and found transformative healing through Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). Experiencing such deep personal growth sparked a calling to help others access that same level of healing. I transitioned into mental health nursing, working in a psychiatric clinic where I gained experience with psychiatric medications and ketamine treatment for depression.
Remembering my roots in functional medicine, I felt drawn to a more holistic approach—one that integrates mind, body, and spirit. That path led me to Guide, where I am honored to serve as part of a compassionate team dedicated to nurturing the transformative healing intelligence in all of us.
